I’ve been meaning to mention this for a while now. There is a blog post about it. It is a series of images that describe the web for the summer of 2008. I think they’re very creative, so please have a look.

Leading up to the introduction of MobileMe in several hours, i thought it would test my @me.com address.

It works! There was a slight delay, but it definitely sent me an email.

Steve Ballmer, while in an interview the WSJ, decided it would be good to attack Google.

I mean, come on. [Google] have one product. It’s been the same for five years–and they have Gmail now, but they have one product that makes all their money, and it hasn’t changed in five years.

So let’s look at the Windows timeline. 

That would appear to be just over 5 years between major version. 

Was just reading an interesting article about Mobile Me. Anyway, here’s the quote:

Instead, because this is Apple, I’ll invoke the words of the inimitable Fake Marshall McLuhan in his Twitter a few days back:

Stop asking ‘Is this a good or bad thing?’ and start asking ‘What’s going on?’

And because this is Apple, I’ll do the work of a true apologist and extrapolate the aphorism a step further: 

Stop asking ‘Is this a good or bad thing?’ and start asking ‘Why is this awesome?”

Luckily, i’m already a .Mac subscriber, so i get upgraded for free.

Overall, it looks like a very clean and nice interface. I will give a fuller report when i’m upgraded.
