I bought this application for two reasons. The first being that it was free, and there’s no price better than that. The second being the icon.

Shazam is one of those apps that solves one of life’s problems. Not only that, but Shazam does it for free.

For those of you that use Twitter, you’ll know how addictive it is. You tweet while in a queue, you tweet while you’re travelling and you tweet every other minute that you can.

Since i don’t have an iPhone 3G, i thought i would make up for this by getting the new iPhone software.
The installation took about 10-20 minutes, but my phone activated straight away upon completion.
The applications i had downloaded for it off the iTunes App Store, were synced across without any difficulties.
In the grand scheme of things, if all you’re doing is making calls and texting people, you’re probably not going to notice the update.
Recently i tried it. It works great. I even created the new logo using GIMP over the University network. Now, many people might think “What’s the point? You can install GIMP on Mac anyway”.
Well my answer is that for the few of us that are still PPC, some x11 apps don’t work, also sometimes we just don’t have enough processing power to do the task as well as all our other activities.
The command in an SSH terminal to do X Forwarding is:
ssh -X <username>@<hostname>
Since everything is going over SSH, it’s all encrypted as well.
