Clarifi Arrives

After waiting for a while, I managed to order a Griffin Clarifi off Amazon. It arrived and was placed on my iPhone.

The case itself manages to cover the important bits of the iPhone while allowing direct access to components, so there’s no flaps to change volume or anything like that. It also came with a screen protector, which I won’t be putting on.

The plastic on the back seems very similar to the plastic case on the iPhone itself, and the plastic at either ends is easier to grip.

To allow the iPhone to be placed into a dock, the lower part of the case can be removed leaving the bottom fifth uncovered. This allows it to fit into both of my docks.

Now for the important part. The lens. The Clarifi case features a close-up lens, which changes the focus of the camera from infinity to about 4 inches. This means that for close up pictures, you get a much sharper image. However, you can nearly back up to 1.5 feet before it starts to blur out.

The lens’ focusing quality can be seen below:

As you can see, there is quite a massive difference between the images including a slight colour correction.

If you’re planning to be taking lots of pictures with your iPhone, then this is definitely the case for you.
