So i’m now in my new house, and using the wireless modem i’ve managed to borrow.

So, speed tests:

I get about 45kB/s down and about 7 kB/s up.

So i’m basically on full EDGE. Which is surprising, because the T-Mobile map of the area, shows that i should be able to get 3G everywhere near my house. 

It’s not very reliable either, cutting out after 6-7 hours of use. Due to my NAT redirection of the connection, it doesn’t like restarting itself either. Requires a little bit of shell-fu, and it’ll restart.

Also, T-Mobile don’t like Facebook, because it’s classed as a site for over 18s. So i’ve had to tunnel around them. 

On the whole, it’s working and a good basic internet connection. However, i require a little more.
