I found the POWER7 series of processors. All my macs are PowerPC chips. I like them, they’re more quirky and are ‘technically’ more efficient as processors.
IBM won a $244 million DARPA contract in November 2006 to develop a multi-petaFLOPS supercomputerarchitecture before the end of 2010. The contract also states that the architecture shall be available commercially.
Multi-petaFLOPs would be really awesome. Come on, Apple. Try to do both chips…please.
